I don’t make resolutions for each new year. I feel like I’m setting myself up for failure. Seriously, I’m my own jinx.
At times, I don’t feel comfortable writing my goals down. Again, it just feels like a jinx.
Mine over matter, I guess.
There are a few things I’m working on this year, though. I do want to create goals and stick to accomplishing them.
So what do I do?
First, I have to find a planner to accomplish that. I loooove planners! I prefer a hardcover paper planner over my Google calendar app. First off, a paper planner doesn’t chime incessantly with notifications about upcoming events. It is useful for planning events with other people, but for my own stuff, I prefer good “old fashioned” pen and paper.
When I saw the Tools 4 Wisdom planner on Tomoson for a discount, I crossed my fingers, hoping to get picked. I liked the cover design and was loving the fact that it was hardcover. I am pretty picky about how my planners are laid out, so I was hoping it was what I wanted..
I received the planner and WOW – the hardcover was even more beautiful than I thought it was going to be!
When you open the cover, a beautiful sunset picture greets you, where you write your name and see the “year at a glance”.
As you turn pages, you see yearly goal pages. They are detailed and there is plenty of space to write things down.
Each month is tabbed and each tab has a gorgeous picture on it..
.. and each monthly/daily sheets are grouped together. Each tabbed section has the monthly calendar, daily pages and monthly goal plan sheets.
At the end of the planner are two hole pages of checkmark and other stickers. I LOVE the idea of being able to use these to mark off completed goals, although I do like making those checkmarks myself.
There is also a link for some FREE additional printable pages and a quick survey, which I happily filled out. Best part for me? They are fellow Pug lovers.. and we all know how I feel about my Puggins!
As I was about to close the planner, I noticed a pocket on the inside back cover. Score!
All in all, this planner pretty much has everything I look for in a planner.
