“March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb” is the old saying.
For those of you who don’t know, Multiple Sclerosis is currently an incurable disease. There have been great strides in research over the years, but we still have so far to go. I hope one day we can say it is completely eradicated.
My Mother passed due to complications with the disease in 2000, so it is a cause close to my heart.
Over the years, I have purchased quite a few items and have found out about others that donate a portion of their profits or proceeds to MS Research.
Here are my fave five:
I buy so many tops from here, my husband is pretty sure I have them all (he’s sooo wrong! haha). I have quite a few. I love them all and they are not lying.. everything they make is INSANELY soft! I’ve fallen asleep in their hoodie and their tote bag is my fave (neither are pictured). They have so many different shirts and are expanding their collection all the time, you should definitely check them out.
I’m in LOVE with this sweatshirt. It’s comfy and you can personalize it.
Also of note: The cause you purchase gear for is the one they donate to. It is not limited to MS research. You should check them out, no matter what cause you are passionate about.
Every little bit helps. I use these things all the time. People ask about the orange ribbon all the time. As a pen/marker collector, I was really proud to add these to my collection.
I haven’t purchased anything from this store, but everyone seems to love their purchases. There are some great shirts, hats and posters.
Bonus: If you follow Mr. Moore on Instagram, you will see that he sometimes posts pics of his “Baby Girls” (who are sporting his merchandise) so there’s a chance you’ll pop up in his feed.. if you’re into that kinda thing 🙂
There are so many fantastic items in this store. There are even links to items you can purchase on other sites that will donate as well. What a great resource! I have not purchased any items from this site myself, but I do have it bookmarked for the future.
So there are five sites to get you started and some of my fave items in them.
If you have a cause you’re passionate about, raising awareness is crucial. Maybe you don’t need an item on the aforementioned list or you see something pretty and want it. Here are a few suggestions for products that don’t donate to MS research, but they do raise awareness:
These are gorgeous! They come in a variety of colors and designs, so go nuts! I have not purchased one myself, so I do not have pics to show.
There are quite a few items in the “orange ribbon” category. I purchased custom pencils years ago. The words are starting to come off and the font looks a bit creepy now, but you get the idea 🙂
A few years ago, I purchased a Retro Metro foldover tote and added an orange ribbon to it. I did the same with their large tote.
It is under “Personalize It” on their product pages. You choose “Gives Care Ribbon” and choose your color. Easy-peasy!
No matter what cause you are passionate about, raising awareness and getting research donations are what you strive for!
I hope this list gave you some great gift ideas!
Happy Shopping 🙂
