Blog Challenge Day 20: Let’s Give Em Something to Talk About

This is supposed to be about some blog posts you’ve posted that gained traction.

I don’t get a lot of comments, but here are the top clicked posts:

Three FREE Resources That Will Help Middle School Parents Brush Up On Their Foreign Language Skills

There are no affiliate links in the article, I just thought it would be a good idea to keep sharing it as we’ve all been stuck in quarantine and NY just announced that it will continue with distance learning for the remainder of the year.

5 Awesome Gift Sites that Donate to MS Research

I haven’t seen a lot of money from my affiliate links, but I hope anyone who clicked purchased from the non-affiliate links ๐Ÿ™‚

Five Awesome Roy Orbison Songs

Who DOESN’T love Roy Orbison? Fun fact: the pin to this post is actually one of my most popular pins on Pinterest as well.

The Minion Cake

I’m going to try and not get angry here.. this post ended up gaining traction because Mini’s cake was shamed on a parenting blog. Yes, you read that right. It was on one of those cake-wreck slideshow posts. Mini was six at the time and found it while she was searching for other cake fails. She was crushed. I wrote to the owner of the blog and tried to explain. I never heard back, but I saw a few comments that had come from people who had seen my blog and got angry that a parenting blog shamed a six-year-old. Win for us? I’d say so! Also, that blog is out of business now, so I thank karma for that.

Happy Birthday in Heaven, Mother

A tribute post I wrote for my biological Mother seven years ago.

My top posts are actually pretty diverse!

  1. Oh no! I’m so sorry your cake ended up on a post like that ๐Ÿ™ I used to follow cake wrecks, but those were only professional paid for cakes, not home bakers because that doesn’t seem fair.
