January 17th is quite a day for celebrity birthdays!

We all know it’s Betty White’s birthday. Social media has been going insane with well-wishes for America’s Grandma.

According to the site “On This Day“, here are a few other notables:

Benjamin Franklin, Al Capone, Eartha Kitt, Vidal Sassoon, James Earl Jones (poor guy got almost no love compared to Betty), Shari Lewis, Maury Povich, Muhammad Ali, Andy Kaufman, Paul Young, Steve Harvey, Susanna Hoffs, Jim Carrey, John Crawford, Shabba Ranks, Kid Rock, Naveen Andrews.. the list goes on!!

Notable Events:

Highway 51 South in Memphis, TN renamed Elvis Presley Blvd in 1972.

“Lady Samantha” released in England. <- one of Elton John’s first recordings.

Leonard Nimoy received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1985.
