Let’s talk about sleep.
According to research (which changes all the time!), adult humanoids are supposed to get around 8 hours of sleep a night. Our mancubs? About 10ish. My Pugs need about 21 hours of sleep to function. My Hound? A lot, but she’s awake a lot more than her Puglings (Pug siblings).
Fact: many of us don’t get the recommended amount of sleep.

Things keep us up.
What keeps me up?
For one, the greatest hits of the 80’s. My mind is like a jukebox I can’t turn off.
Seriously, it’s like I can see the little pink radio with the flashing red button from my childhood playing Rick Astley or Tina Turner or New Kids on the Block. Every time one song ends, another pops into my head.
Next, what I’m doing with my life.
Should I post that blog post?
Why am I only 5 feet tall?
Why are there fly and bug guts all over my ceiling?
Is my night light going to blow out in the middle of the night and force me to bang me knee as I get up to pee?
Seriously, why hasn’t the husband cleaned the fly guts off the ceiling?
The thing that keeps me awake most?
She doesn’t physically keep me up, only mentally. I’m lucky I birthed a sleeper. The universe knows I’m someone who needs my rest, so the powers that be gifted me with a child who just loves her sleep. Yay me!
I wonder if I’m a good enough parent.
Is Mini doing okay mentally? Welllll she IS a Bassett so the jury’s still out. 🙂 <- if you knew my family, you’d be laughing right now.
We all have things that keep us up at night.

Overall, I highly recommend this if you have trouble getting to sleep.
