Create An Infographic and Write About It

Confession Time: The thought of doing this post intimidated me to no end. I was actually scared to do it. It took me a few days to figure out what to do and how to do it. A quick search of infographics leads to a ridiculous amount of results. The next task was to think about what info I wanted to include.

A big thank you goes out to Rochelle for posting a step-by-step tutorial for creating an infographic without having to purchase a “fancy” program. After reading her post over a few times. I decided to dive in and do this. I don’t think it came out half-bad. Thanks Rochelle!!

The thing I get asked about the most in real life is my sibling breakdown. I have a big family and it is pieced together by a bunch of small families. The reason? My biological Father has been married three times and my adopted parents adopted more children than just my sister and I.

I thought this would be a good way to explain things. I usually have to grab a piece of paper to explain it to people. When I meet new people and they ask about my family, I usually dismiss them with a “Oh, hunnie.. I need paper and a flowchart to explain that to you!”

The breakdown goes like this: Biologically, I have 3 full siblings, 1 half-sib and a step-sib. When my adopted parents adopted my sister and I, they already had 2 children then adopted a child from another country then a sibling set of 4. Got all that? Don’t worry if you didn’t.. Even friends who I have known for a couple decades need to be reminded from time to time!
