Blog Challenge – Topic 3

One of The Things You Are Most Proud Of

I say it all the time and I will say it a thousand times.. I am most proud of the relationship between me and my daughter. I’m proud that she has a healthy respect for me. No, she’s not afraid of me but she does know I mean business when I say something.

Aside from that, I’m also very proud to be my Grandmother’s kin. I’m serious. Nanny, as we call her, turned 91 last month and she is still going strong! Her work as a Senior Companion is just inspiring. I hope to be that with it and that physically active by her age.

I’m proud I inherited her very dry, sarcastic sense of humor. Recently, Nanny has had problems with nosebleeds. One night, my sister took her to the ER to get checked. When the nurse asked her if she snored, Nanny said “I don’t know. I’ve never stayed awake to check.” I cracked up hearing this. I turn to my husband and say “SEE? This is where I get it!” My sister then informs me that was the exact thing she said to her fiance that night at the hospital.

I love spending time with this woman. She is one of my favorite people in the world. I could seriously go on and on about this phenomenal human being, but I will save that in case I want to add her funny little anecdotes in a future post..

I’m just proud to call her my Grandma 🙂
