Summer Movie 10: GARFIELD THE MOVIE
ByTina BI love Bill Murray! I have loved him since I was a kid. I have seen most of his movies. If anyone else had done Garfield’s voice, this movie would have pretty much sucked. Bill Murray does an excellent job of channeling his personality right into the ‘animated’ cat. By the time the opening scene…

How’s My Parenting?
ByTina BIf you ask some random people how my parenting is, they will most likely start giving me guff for my decisions, but that’s another post 🙂 Recently, Kristin over at Blood, Sweat & Cheers! posted about parental performance reviews (Performance Reviews for Parents?!). I saw the quiz she gave her 10yo son and thought I…

Broadway Review: The Lion King
ByTina BOH. MY. SIMBA! I usually don’t do reviews but I couldn’t resist this one. “The Lion King” was a phenomenal show. The opening number of “Circle of Life” grips you in with an impressive display of what can only be described as theatrical wonders. Without giving a lot of the show away, I have to…

Summer Movie 26: ROOKIE OF THE YEAR
ByTina BMini absolutely LOVED this movie which is awesome because I love it too! I was psyched when we found it in a store’s discount bin. In the beginning of the movie, Henry is in the doctor’s office when he gets his cast off and smacks his doctor in the face… Of course, that was Mini’s…

Summer Movie 18: Mulan 2
ByTina BMy sisters joined us for dinner tonight. They had suggested Mini watch this, but we ended up talking about summer/school year plans so we waited until they left to start watching. She noticed right away that Mushu “didn’t sound right the same”. She also got upset with him a lot during the movie. “Stupid dragon”…

Do you pick based on a theme? Like genre, decade, or celebrity? Or just a random list of films she hasn’t seen?
No theme. Just random movies I like that I think she will like too. We did this quite a few summers ago and she loved it. She’s not being very cooperative this time around (grrr tweenagers!!) but she did watch one movie. She also wants to binge watch Stranger Things so I guess the real challenge will be getting her to watch the movies in the first place.
