Summer Movie Challenge 2019 – Movie 6
ByTina B“Short Circuit” I quote the “more input” line so much, I insisted Mini finally watch this movie. She is going to be quoting this movie as much as my sister and I did when we were younger (and still do!). via GIPHY Starring: Ally Sheedy, Steve Guttenberg & Fisher Stevens Year Released: 1986 Mini’s Thoughts:…

Summer Movie 18: Mulan 2
ByTina BMy sisters joined us for dinner tonight. They had suggested Mini watch this, but we ended up talking about summer/school year plans so we waited until they left to start watching. She noticed right away that Mushu “didn’t sound right the same”. She also got upset with him a lot during the movie. “Stupid dragon”…

Summer Movie 13: THE ARISTOCATS
ByTina BThis is one of my all-time favorite movies, live-action or animated. I can quote this like it’s nobody’s business! Goodness knows, no one cares but I quote away (even the half-French song during the beginning credits). I used to sing “Everybody Wants To Be A Cat” to Mini and she heard it on my Disney…

Summer Movie 17: Home On The Range
ByTina BRoseanne Barr. That’s a name and voice I haven’t heard in a while. My Mother was a huge Roseanne fan way back when she starred on “Roseanne”, but Ms. Barr has kind of dropped off the radar in recent years. She has one of the most noticeable voices in showbiz. I didn’t even have to double-check…

Summer Movie 19: DINOSAUR’S STORY
ByTina BI don’t know what it was about this movie but Mini was not interested at all. About halfway through, she asked to watch one of her favorites. Even if she doesn’t like a movie, she usually tries to hear it out and watch it until the end. She was just not having it at all….

ByTina BFictional Character You’ve Connected With A cartoon character I see a little of my own story in is Lilo from Lilo & Stitch. When my Father left, my Mother did the best she could do. I touched a little on this at the end of one of my last few posts (HERE). My older sister…

Do you pick based on a theme? Like genre, decade, or celebrity? Or just a random list of films she hasn’t seen?
No theme. Just random movies I like that I think she will like too. We did this quite a few summers ago and she loved it. She’s not being very cooperative this time around (grrr tweenagers!!) but she did watch one movie. She also wants to binge watch Stranger Things so I guess the real challenge will be getting her to watch the movies in the first place.
